about

Billy Davis has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Be Bop Hall of Fame, and The Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame for playing guitar with Hank Ballard & The Midnighters. Billy Co-wrote and played on over 20 one-million record sellers including Hank Ballard's Lets Go Lets Go Lets Go, The Twist, Finger Popping Music, and Jackie Wilson's Higher & Higher. Jimi Hendrix was an adoring friend and fan of Billy's, up until the day Jimi died. Close friends of Jimi Hendrix have said that Billy heavily influenced Jimi's playing style, as he was a fan of Hank Ballard and the Midnighters from a very young age.

Dennis Baran (credited as bass player on the album) had the opportunity to play rhythm guitar for Billy Davis in 2009 and befriended Billy after being completely enthralled by his guitar playing ability and his voice. Not to mention that Billy was one of the kindest and most interesting gentelman he had ever met. Years later, Dennis' son Chris would have the opportunity to warm Billy up at a local Detroit gig, with Chris' band from Chicago, Tin Tin Can. Blown away himself, Chris became enamored with the idea of having the opportunity to record Billy Davis, and had his father (because he was too nervous to approach Billy and ask himself) invite Billy to a recording session at his home.

To say the least, the rest is recent history and the three collaborated on Billy's first EP release, "I Remember," joined by two tremendously talented musicians, John Adamo (keys) and Don Campion (saxophone). This is album is a celebration of Billy's music not only as a tremendous guitar player, but as a powerful singer and songwriter as well. They are currently working on another album that is scheduled for released sometime in summer of 2016.
